Walking, walking, walking…
One thing that struck me was the physicality of the place. …cobblestones, hills, flamenco dancing, playing, singing. Everyone seemed incredibly fit and strong.
They walked uphill in sandals, even flip-flops and fast. The storekeepers in the little villages that clung to the edge of the cliff appeared sturdy, efficient and strong. How could you not be when your commute to work is on foot, uphill on cobblestones?
I walked an average of 6 miles and 12 flights of stairs a day! My legs are so much stronger. I feel younger.
And vacations can make you feel younger even if you don’t walk so much. They can give you more internal space, more strength to use on your return home.
I am so grateful to be able to
